Overview of Course: This course provides a comprehensive legal and procedural overview of the Virginia Public Procurement Act (VPPA), specifically found in Title 2.2, Chapter 43 of the Code of VirginiaIt is designed to guide procurement professionals through the lifecycle of public purchasing while emphasizing the prevention of corruption and the maintenance of public trust.

  • Learners will understand the legal basis for court intervention in public contracts, specifically that interference is limited to cases where a public body acted illegally, arbitrarily, or fraudulently
