Overview of Course: This course will cover the fundamentals of construction procurement with an examination of the different methods to procure construction. The course will also cover change orders, claims and disputes, as well as substantial and final completion. We will also cover several real life examples and case studies.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the requirements of the Virginia Public Procurement Act as it relates to construction.
- Gain knowledge of various procurement methods for construction services.
- Understand the role and importance of General Conditions in construction contracts.
