Eligibility

 

VAGP membership is open to individuals employed by state, county, city, town, authority, school division, and higher education governmental agencies or subdivisions. All persons involved in the administration or management of procurement functions are invited to join. 

Our membership year runs annually from January through December.

VAGP also offers free student memberships to full-time students, currently enrolled in an institution of higher education, who are considering a career in governmental purchasing.

Membership in the Virginia Association of Governmental Procurement provides public sector professionals the opportunity to improve effectiveness in the field of procurement. VAGP membership opens networking doors and creates an opportunity to improve professional skills that may not be available to non-members.

*35% of membership dues are attributable to political lobbying and thus are not deducible as a business expense

New Member Dues

Regular Member - $22.50

  • Membership stays with the individual, not the municipality or agency. All memberships are on the calendar year, regardless of join date.  Discount applies ONLY to new members (those that have not been a member for the last two years) - renewals are charged at the full rate.

Annual Renewal Dues

Regular Agency or Individual Member - $35.00

  • Membership stays with the individual, not the municipality or agency. All memberships are on the calendar year, regardless of join date.

Pro-Rated Membership

  • Membership renewals submitted on or after July 1 of the membership year are $22.50 per person.
